Tourism has been one of the economic sectors first and most heavily affected by the COVID-19 crisis.

The sector has experienced a fast and sharp drop in demand and a surge in unemployment, putting many small and medium-sized enterprises at risk.  

Tourism ministers will exchange information and best practice on relief measures taken so far at national level. They will explore possible future action at national and EU level for the quick recovery of the tourism sector.

Following the video conference, the presidency will produce a summary of the outcome of the debate.
