In the framework of EU – US dialogue, a video conference of the Ministers of Justice and Home Affairs will be held on Thursday, May 28.

On behalf of the EU, the home affairs part of the meeting will be chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, dr. sc. Davor Božinović, while Minister of Justice, Mr Dražen Bošnjaković, will be chairing the part of the meeting related to topics falling in the realm of the justice sector. During the discussion, emphasis will be placed on the exchange of information on measures taken in connection with the COVID - 19 pandemic.

In the area of ​​justice, both sides will exchange information on special measures taken with the aim of ensuring functioning of the judicial system, including emergency measures, criminal justice and the fight against disinformation.

In the area of home affairs, there will be talk of COVID - 19 crime, with a special focus on cybercrime, including the prevention of exploitation of children on the Internet. Furthermore, discussion will be held on the fight against terrorism, focusing on the dissemination of propaganda of racially motivated violent extremism and terrorist organisations. Likewise, there will be talk of cooperation with Internet service providers, with an emphasis on content management and Internet frauds.
