A joint meeting of the Heads of Medicine, Nursing and Dental Medicine will be held in Zagreb on 03 and 04 March 2020 as part of the official program of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The central theme of the meeting is lifelong health care and healthy aging of the population.

The meeting is expected to involve the appointed chief medical, nursing and dental leaders from the EU Member States. Healthy aging will be addressed by all three professions with regard to the issues they face in their daily work, with the main emphasis on quality of life, adequate health care and care, disease prevention, multidisciplinarity and joint interventions of all three professions levels of health care.

During the meeting, lectures will be held in the fields of gerontology and health tourism, and workshops on the mental health of the elderly, communication with the elderly and successful aging through oral health will be organized.

The participants of the meeting will have the opportunity to discuss and reach common conclusions after the following lectures: Optimal distribution of care in the care of the elderly; Personalized medicine: the future of healthcare; Aging, what should we be worried about ?; The quality of life of the elderly in institutional and non-institutional care; Mental health of the elderly; Communication with the elderly; Successful Aging Through Oral Health; 2020 - Nursing Year; Development of a European Center of Excellence (CoE) for continuing professional development; The role of the nurse in the care of the elderly; Sleep Medicine and Aging; Aging and Central Nervous System; Prevention and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases; Electrostimulation in elderly patients; Health tourism - Challenges in the rehabilitation of elderly patients; Personalized cardiac rehabilitation; The past, present and future of medical tourism.
