Meeting of the EU Council Working party on international environment issues-climate change (WPIEI-Climate change)

The first WPIEI-Climate change meeting chaired by the Republic of Croatia will be held on January 14-15, 2020 in Zagreb. The representatives of EU Member States will discuss the state of international negotiations on climate change and the results of the 25th United Nations Framework Conference on Climate Change (COP 25) and the implementation of the Paris Agreement Work Program. It is an informal meeting that includes workshops on priority negotiation topics to better understand the issues and form the basis for further EU negotiations at the international level. Croatia has the obligation, during its Presidency, to coordinate the work of the aforementioned Council EU Working party.
