Finance ministers will meet via video conference. They will discuss:

• Economic impact of the COVID-19 crisis and policy response

The Croatian presidency will present the state of play and further work needed on the legislative proposals for coordinated socio-economic measures in response to the COVID-19 outbreak

• Bank lending for households and corporates

Ministers are expected to endorse a statement in support of flexible application of EU rules in the banking sector, and inviting banks to refrain from distribution of dividends.

• European Semester

Ministers will take stock on progress made towards a pragmatic approach to this year's cycle of the European Semester. D

• IMF Spring meeting

Ministers will be briefed on the annual meeting of the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC), which will take place via video conference on 16 April 2020.
