Due to the situation with the COVID-19 virus, the HERItage conference could not take place in March 2020 as originally planned. Even though every organizational aspect was ready and set for the original date, the conference was postponed. New date is in the period from 15th till 18th of June.
Given the relevance of the conference for the future of cultural heritage in Horizon Europe, it is important to continue a structured dialogue and an exchange of views, discourses and analyses of all the related aspects in another format which would also allow to deliver the planned Rijeka Communiqué.
This document will present the path for anchoring cultural heritage and all related topics in future EU policies and initiatives as well as indicate the direction of their evolvement. For this reason, we are planning to organize a virtual conference with our respected speakers on planned panel topics of the HERItage conference.
In the period from June 15 – 18, four 2h-long video conference sessions will thus be organized on the Zoom platform, without limits on the number of participants per session to foster a fruitful discussion.
All the sessions will be recorded and available online on the conference website. All registered speakers and participants for the originally planned March conference will be specifically informed about the options and possibilities to attend the virtual HERItage conference.
