The Common Assessment Framework (CAF) is a common European methodology for quality assessment and management in public administration, developed by national CAF correspondents within EUPAN.
The topic of the meeting of the national correspondents will be the adoption of the first CAF Strategy. At the previous meeting of the national CAF correspondents, held in October 2019, during the Finish Presidency, it was concluded that there is a need for a strategic document that could be used by correspondents to effectively implement and monitor the quality management system (CAF 2020) in public administration.
The aim of this meeting to be held in Zagreb is to adopt the first CAF Strategy, which will include analysis of the situation, strategic objectives, measures, and indicators, following the EUPAN motto „Working together for high-quality public administrations and public services in Europe“.
The CAF Strategy will be based on principles of excellence such as result orientation, partnership development, people development, and involvement, as well as continuous innovation and improvement. It would also provide recommendations for correspondents on how to apply CAF 2020 at the national and EU level.
