Cohesion Policy is the main investment mechanism of the European Union for reducing disparities between the levels of development of EU regions. In the Republic of Croatia, it is perceived as an instrument for securing further investment and generating economic growth and new jobs.
Cohesion Policy requires a flexible approach in tackling challenges of technological change, globalization and migration processes., as well as in finding solutions for financing these challenges. To discuss these issues the Ministry of Regional Development and EU funds, in cooperation with the Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy, is organizing the Third Joint EU Cohesion Policy Conference. This interactive event will be attended by the representatives of academic community, national authorities and governing bodies and representatives of the EU institutions.
During a two-day conference, the participants will exchange views and best practices and analyse challenges that Cohesion Policy will face in the upcoming financial period 2021 – 2027.
